With this book, we have tried to give the reader a new way of looking at and dealing with arthritis and joint pain, a way that is different from what is already available in other books on the subject.

BACKCOVER: It is estimated that over 35 million Americans experience some form of arthritis. Chinese medicine has been treating arthritis for more than 2,000 years. In this book, you will learn the Chinese theory for the cause of this and other related diseases. You will also learn a host of safe, simple, low or no cost home therapies to prevent and heal this potentially crippling condition, including: Chinese dietary therapy, exercise, deep relaxation, acupuncture, moxibustion, Chinese self-massage, magnet therapy, Chinese herbs, liniments and plasters, (and) how to find a professional practitioner of Chinese medicine.

Extended Description 2

This book is useful for everyone who suffers from any kind of joint pain and not just arthritis. Chinese medicine is especially effective for treating all types of joint pain, largely to the unique therapeutic effects of acupuncture and moxibustion. In China, acupuncture and its related art, moxibustion, are primarily used for rheumatic complaints and musculoskeletal pain of all types. When professionally administered acupuncture and moxibustion are combined with Chinese dietary therapy and a judicious use of Chinese herbal remedies, one has a very effective yet holistic treatment regime which heals without any side effects. Although there are other books on arthritis which tout the latest cures of modern Western medicine, the treatments in this book have been developed, refined, and tested over 2,000 or more years by 100 generations of highly educated, professional practitioners.
